Professional Communication Simulators

Provides trained, unbiased simulators, facilitators, simulated patients, and role-players for educational, assessment, and customer service training needs.

Supporting education and innovation.

PCS creates learning or training situations modeled to simulate scenarios replicating real life in your environment. The simulation allows participants to develop and test their skills while experiencing the intensity, emotion, and dynamics of a real-time/real-life experience without risking a negative outcome.

By creating opportunities for authentic interplay, our simulators allow facilitators and evaluators to develop skills, measure performance, and test behaviors in a controlled environment.

Real life scenarios for learning.

Professional Communication Simulators, formerly Grodin Professional Simulators, is a Pittsburgh, PA-based company that provides trained, unbiased simulators, facilitators, simulated patients, and role-players for educational, assessment, and customer service training needs. PCS will travel to locations within the United States for client instructional events.

Meet Nick Mitchell.

Owner Nick Mitchell has been working to help people develop their interpersonal communication skills for nearly 25 years. Since assuming leadership of the company from Naomi Grodin in early 2024, he has been dedicated to preserving PCS's commitment to provide you with a safe, learning environment for teaching, training or testing interpersonal skills.

YOU provide the case and the goals.

A Professional Communication Simulator provides a real-life character, calibrated to your needs, who will evoke emotion, give prompts to encourage particular skills and provide immediate, constructive feedback for improvement.

PCS's strength lies in the attention to empathy that we expect from our simulators. While many companies provide standardized patients for medical studies, PCS provides true simulators who are required to go through empathetic training to ensure the most realistic emotional responses.
